The JIS 10K flanged ball valve operates on a simple yet effective quarter-turn mechanism. The valve consists of a spherical ball with a central bore that rotates 90 degrees around its axis to control the flow of media through the pipeline.
When the valve is in the open position, the bore of the ball aligns perfectly with the pipeline, allowing unobstructed flow of the medium with minimal pressure drop. When the handle or actuator is turned 90 degrees, the ball rotates so that its solid side faces the pipeline, completely blocking the flow and creating a tight seal.
The floating ball design allows the ball to move slightly downstream under pressure, pressing against the downstream seat and enhancing the sealing performance. This self-sealing feature ensures reliable operation even in high-pressure applications.

The maximum operating temperature depends on the seat material. PTFE seats are suitable for temperatures up to 150°C, PPL seats up to 200°C, and PEEK seats up to 260°C. For higher temperature applications, please contact our technical team for recommendations.
Yes, our JIS 10K flanged ball valves are suitable for controlling the flow of both liquid and gas media, including water, solvents, acids, natural gas, oxygen, and hydrogen peroxide.
JIS 10K and ANSI 150Lb are both pressure rating standards, but they are not directly interchangeable. JIS 10K corresponds to approximately 1.0 MPa (145 psi), while ANSI 150Lb corresponds to approximately 2.0 MPa (290 psi). The flange dimensions and bolt patterns also differ between the two standards.
Yes, we offer both pneumatic and electric actuated versions of our JIS 10K flanged ball valves. The valves can be supplied with a direct mounting platform for easy actuator installation, and we can provide complete valve-actuator assemblies ready for installation.
Standard valves are usually in stock and can be shipped within 3-5 working days. Custom orders typically take 2-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the requirements. Please contact our sales team for specific lead time information.
